Anyone play the Guitar/Piano?

I want to learn how to play an instrument this summer. I have a piano and a guitar but I don't know how to play either of them.So I am going for lessons.

   I play the guitar and violin and I want to learn to play the piano.

   I remember my 5th grade teacher playing the guitar and saying if you start playing an instrument at an early age it will be easy to play it in the future. Start by playing the guitar because it seems much easier I taught myself how with a book the music store recommend which they use for their beginners. Its called Guitar Primer by Mel Bay. It tells you how to hold a pick and stuff and it has easy songs they you can buy other books and you can play about any song you want.

   I can play both. I'd say by far the piano is easier.

   I had classical piano when I was younger.

   In my thirties I took guitar. The chords and everything a pretty relative and if you can understand one, you can understand the other. But I found it PHYSICALLY more challenging getting my hands coordinated to guitar.

   I play both..I taught myself though..so it may be different for someone who took lessons. Hmm..I'd have to say the piano was easier, although the fingers stretch a little more, the notes were straightforward. There's a lot more variation in the guitar..much more to think about..to learn. Between chords, etc. I mean the general, the higher the lower rule is ok, but when it comes down to it the different string combinations are harder to remember.

   I know and am still learning piano.
   I think piano would be easier because you dont usually hurt your fingers on it like u can on guitar. Not bashing guitar cuz i would love to learn it myself.
   Um, well im doing sixths right now on the piano and that can be challenging sometimes. I think its easier but thats just my opinion.

   i used to play gutair but then i picked up a bass it was awsome so im on that now so yeah piano is one of those instruments that looks easy to play but isent gutair is the total opposite just mess around with both and see which one you like better mabye you can learn both be a one woman band i say lol just follow your heart ha nepolion dynomite refrence

   I think Piano is easier to learn because I can't play anything but Piano (for school practicals in Music lessons).

   You should go for Piano, it's easy and it would sound awesome, if you know how to play piano, it would be easy for you to play Keyboard, clarinet and Guitar.

   I suggest learning piano first because in learning it, you learn chords, arpeggios, and many other music fundamentals which may assist you with guitar or any other instrument.

   Piano, i play both myself, and piano is MUCH easier! Sure the piano sounds cool and all but it is super hard, and it takes forever to learn!

   i think piano is easier to start learning but hard once you get over the begginers stage it gets really hard,
   and guitar is quite hard to start iff on but gets easyer, or thats my opinion anyway

    I've played both piano and guitar.
    For me piano is easier because everything's just there (Scale wise). It's also much easier for me to jump from a high to low note or vice-versa.

    Guitar is pretty cool though

    In my opinion, guitar is easier than piano. The chord structures are basically the same on the guitar, while on the piano they very. And the guitar only has 6 strings. The piano has 88 keys!

    I play Guitar and Piano, the guitar is easier to use when just strumming, but if your not strumming the piano would be easier…

    I used to until I gave up. I didn't have any time between work and school. Still pretty bitter about it. But go for it, might as well learn before you have no time.

    i've never tried piano but seems gutair is alot easier, takes up less room, and is WAY more cheap!!

    I've been learning the guitar online for about a year and im getting pretty good.
